Director of Claims/Customer Service

Ms. Baty has overseen the claims and customer service functions for PerformCare since her hire in 2001. She came to PerformCare with nearly 20 years of extensive managerial experience in medical records, claims, provider relations, networking and customer service for the medical as well as managed care industries. As Director of Claims, Ms. Baty oversees the functions of the claims processing and provider customer service for both the HealthChoices and Indiana Hoosier Alliance Contracts. These functions include the preparation of the payment cycles, claims adjustments, recovery of payments, in addition to the managing of staff that are responsible for processing claims and answering the provider customer service phone line.  She also assists upper management in the development of strategic plans and organizational objectives.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Abilene Christian University in Texas, Ms. Baty began her career with the Cumberland County Nursing Home as their Director of Medical Records. Subsequently, she was employed by Hamilton Health Center, a federally qualified health center in Pennsylvania as the claims supervisor, and held several managerial positions with Pennsylvania HealthMATE, Inc., a managed care program sponsored by Hamilton Health Center and later owned by HRM Health Plans of central and eastern Pennsylvania.  Here she served as Director of Provider Support and Customer Services and as Manager of Provider Relations and Network Development for over 10 years.
