Shared Decision Making (SDM)
Shared decision making (SDM) is an emerging best practice in health care and mental health services endorsed by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). SDM is designed to help people who use mental health services actively participate in decisions about their treatment and service options.
